Former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has declared that Governor Hope Uzodimma cannot deliver Imo State for President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
Okorocha said this on Thursday while fielding questions in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, shortly after his court victory over Uzodimma.
He said that Uzodimma only exists in the Presidential Villa in Abuja and has no political structure on ground in Imo.
“I commend people like Nyesom Wike when he talks about the Rainbow Coalition. As I leave here now, I’m going back to Imo State, and we are going to start the Rainbow Coalition in Imo State.
“We will bring the PDP to support Tinubu to win. Some people will step down their position to make sure we achieve our common goal. Hope cannot carry Imo State. It’s only in Abuja Villa that Hope Uzodimma exists,” Okorocha said.
The former governor said he will lead a coalition of APC, PDP and other parties in Imo to ensure Tinubu’s victory.
According to him, the Rainbow Coalition, spearheaded by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, is the only way to guarantee victory for the President in the Southeast.
Okorocha added that some politicians in Imo will have to step down their ambitions for the common goal of delivering Imo for Tinubu.
