New England Patriots kicker Andy Borregales has officially changed his number from No. 36 to No. 8, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
With Stefon Diggs no longer on the team, the No. 8 jersey was up for grabs, and Borregales claimed it ahead of the regular season opener against the Seattle Seahawks. The kicker has a connection to the No. 8 from his early football days. It was the first number that he ever wore when he started playing football.

There’s sentimental value knowing that the entire journey started with a dream for Borregales in the No. 8 jersey. Now, it has come full circle with him being in the NFL and once again wearing the number that his entire journey started with.
