“Nothing says ‘top remaining seed’ like an 11am Saturday start for Game 1,” Brooks posted on X.
The Bulldogs, the No. 3 national seed, are scheduled to host No. 14 Mississippi State in Athens. Game 1 is set for 11 a.m. Saturday on ESPN, followed by Game 2 at noon Sunday. A third game, if necessary, would be played Monday at a time to be determined.
Georgia enters the Super Regional round as the highest remaining national seed in the tournament field following regional losses by No. 1 UCLA and No. 2 Georgia Tech. Yet several lower-seeded teams received later start times, including prime-time television slots.

Among the weekend matchups, No. 6 Texas and No. 11 Oregon are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Saturday, while No. 7 Alabama and St. John’s will start at 9 p.m. Saturday. No. 15 Kansas and Oklahoma are slated for a 6 p.m. first pitch.
Meanwhile, Georgia’s Saturday game will be the earliest scheduled contest among the Saturday Super Regional openers.

The Bulldogs will face SEC rival Mississippi State in a best-of-three series with a trip to the Men’s College World Series on the line.
Mississippi State advanced out of the Starkville Regional as the No. 14 national seed, while Georgia earned the Athens Regional title after entering the NCAA Tournament as the No. 3 overall seed.
The winner of the series will advance to Omaha, Nebraska, for the Men’s College World Series later this month.
The Super Regional round begins Friday, June 5, with 16 teams competing for eight spots in the Men’s College World Series.

Among the teams still alive are national seeds Georgia, Auburn, North Carolina, Texas, Alabama, Oregon, Mississippi State, Kansas and West Virginia, along with regional winners Ole Miss, Oklahoma, USC, St. John’s, Cal Poly, Little Rock and Troy.
Georgia and Mississippi State will begin their Super Regional showdown at 11 a.m. Saturday from Foley Field in Athens.
