Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers bagged a brace as Panathinaikos recorded a 5-1 victory over Kairat Almaty in their UEFA Europa Conference League tie at the Central Stadium on Thursday night.
Dessers netted Panathinaikos’ second goal from the penalty spot six minutes before the half hour mark, sending goalkeeper Temirlan Anarbekov the wrong way.
The 31-year-old completed his brace two minutes into the second half.
The former Cremonese striker fired home following a superb delivery from Andrews Tetteh.
Dessers has so far scored four goals in three outings in the group phase of the Conference League this season.
Panathinaikos now have six points from their opening three Conference League matches.
