Atletico Madrid forward, Ademola Lookman has explained why his team played 1-1 with VfB Stuttgart in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Lookman featured as goals from Jamie Leweling and Julian Alvarez ensured both teams drew in Germany.
The Super Eagles star made an impact, providing the assist for Alvarez to level the match in the second half.
“I think they obviously started very well. A strong team playing away from home is never easy,” Lookman told the club’s media.
“We kept pushing, but unfortunately, we went down to 10 men,” he said.
Atletico Madrid will now face Deportivo in the LaLiga in their next match this weekend.
