Arsenal on Wednesday made history after playing a 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg tie.
The encounter was played at the Metropolitano in Madrid, Spain, as Viktor Gyokeres and Julian Alvarez scored the goals for their respective clubs.
However, according to OptaJoe, Arsenal have now equalled their longest ever unbeaten run in the European Cup/UEFA Champions League, going 13 consecutive games without defeat for the second time – previously between March 2005 and April 2006 (13).
Arsenal will now shift their attention to the Premier League this weekend as they will welcome Fulham to the Emirates Stadium.
After the Fulham game, Mikel Arteta’s side will take on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final second leg at home.
