We’re have arrived at No. 3 and the greatest wearer in franchise history: kicker Jeff Reed.
Reed, who signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2002, was released as a part of final roster cuts in August of his rookie year. He signed with the Steelers as a free agent in November 2002, and the rest was history. One of the greatest kickers to play for the Steelers, Reed ranks third on the franchise’s all-time scoring list with 919 points, behind only Chris Boswell and Gary Anderson.
During his nine years in Pittsburgh, Reed won two Super Bowls en route to becoming an incredibly reliable kicker for the Steelers. There’s no doubt that Reed is the greatest No. 3 in Steelers history.
