Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have arrested two suspected terrorist logistics suppliers and recovered a large quantity of motorcycle spare parts and other items allegedly intended for Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists operating within the Yunusari-Mobbar general area.
Captain Mohammed Goni, Acting Military Information Officer, Joint Task Force (North East), disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday morning, saying the operation was conducted on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, following credible human intelligence on the movement of logistics supplies suspected to be destined for terrorist elements.
“Acting swiftly on the intelligence, troops of 159 Battalion under Sector 2 OPHK, in conjunction with other security elements, mobilised a fighting patrol and intercepted the suspected logistics consignment at Gumsa Bridge in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State,” the statement said.
Items recovered during the operation include large quantities of motorcycle tyres, crankshafts, oil seals, traffic indicators, acceleration and clutch cables, bearings, brake components, gaskets, piston kits, chains and sprockets.
