League sources say that Clippers general manager Trent Redden connected by phone Monday with Raptors lead decision-maker Bobby Webster to convey that LA was indeed prepared at last to proceed with their deal. The trade, remember, was agreed to in principle on June 30 and then placed on hold by the Raptors on July 9 while they sought to ensure that Leonard would avoid a league suspension or the outright voiding of his contract as part of the salary cap circumvention case against the Clippers.
