Manchester United youngster, JJ Gabriel, is set to join Real Madrid in January.
Gabriel has since travelled to Spain, where he is working with a personal trainer to keep fit.
According to the Daily Mail, Madrid remain highly confident of landing the teenager, who they have been tracking since September.
Gabriel has also been able to secure a European Union passport through his mother’s Cypriot heritage.
He will play for Madrid’s Castilla team, which is in Spain’s third division, as well as in the Youth League.
United were rocked last September, when Gabriel and his representatives made a bombshell request to have his academy contract torn up.
