Watch: Celebrity Deaths 2026: Catherine O’Hara, Eric Dane & More Fallen Stars
A life has been cut short, far too soon.
Jake Hall—a British artist who first rose to fame on the reality series The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE)—died on May 6 in a tragic accident at a villa in Mallorca, Spain. He was 35.
Hall is believed to have died from head injuries caused by shards of glass, per The Sun, citing local officers who responded to the residence.
The Spanish Civil Guard is investigating the incident, per BBC News, but said it “appears to be an accidental death.” They are currently awaiting autopsy results.
Hall was dad to daughter River, 8, whom he shared with Misse Beqiri, a fellow reality star who has appeared on Ladies of London and The Real Housewives of Chesire. Following the news of his death, Beqiri’s rep shared a statement on her behalf.
“At this time, Misse’s focus is on supporting and protecting their child as they come to terms with this devastating loss,” read the statement shared with E! News. “The family are asking for privacy, compassion and respect while they grieve privately.”
Hall first appeared on TOWIE’s 14th season in 2015 as a friend of Vas J Morgan. He was involved with the series through its seventeenth season and used to date his costar Chloe Lewis.
“Jake was a part of the TOWIE family for a number of years,” a statement from the series read, per the BBC, “and we send our very deepest sympathies to his family and friends following today’s very sad news.”

And in the comment section of Hall’s last Instagram post, author Roxie Nafousi praised him as “such a sweet soul.”
“I know things weren’t always easy for you but you never gave up and you really loved your little girl more than anything in the world,” she continued. “This is so devastating. Keep dancing up in heaven.”
After forays into the fashion world, Hall had turned to pursuing a career as an artist in recent years, largely at the encouragement of his daughter, River, after moving to Mallorca, where he grew up.

“I was constantly waking up in the night, I couldn’t sleep and then, one day, we moved to Spain,” Hall said in an interview with Entitled1, “and my daughter said to me, ‘Daddy, let’s draw.’ It took me out of that zone, that dark place. My daughter took me out of that place by simply doodling and drawing.”
Just hours before his death, Hall posted a video montage made up of clips from his life in Mallorca. Among the footage was a video of Rive dancing, Hall painting on sheets, time spent with friends and exploring the island on which he lived.
“Life is bollocks sometimes but I’m gonna try remember the good things,” he captioned the post. “Looking through things – I’m just making art – in many forms.”
