In a recent report, Record (via Sport Witness) stated that Tottenham Hotspur are in the running to sign Sporting CP winger Geny Catamo. It has been mentioned that Spurs would have to compete with Sunderland and other clubs from Saudi Arabia in the race to sign the Mozambique talent next year.
Catamo has made a good start to this campaign as he has managed to put in a string of impressive displays for Sporting on the right flank. The 25-year-old scored two goals and secured three assists in six matches for the Portuguese outfit this season across various competitions.

The Mozambique sensation is currently one of the most talented wide players in Liga Portugal. Therefore, it is no surprise that Spurs are in the mix to secure his services next year.
His current contract at the Portuguese club will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Tottenham to land him on the cheap this winter or at the end of this campaign.

Catamo is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some driving runs with it out on the flanks. He has the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.
The Mozambique sensation can chip in by scoring and creating a handful of goals up top. Catamo is primarily a right-winger but can also function as a left-sided wide player if asked to do so. However, there are some question marks over whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to get a deal done for him next year.
We can expect Catamo to bring more quality and depth to Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi’s attack. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
At 25, Catamo has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for Spurs to consider this January or next summer. Therefore, De Zerbi would be wise to get him on board soon.
