Two of the Detroit Tigers‘ top prospects will get more seasoning in the fall.
Outfielder Zyhir Hope and shortstop Bryce Rainer, both considered top-100 prospects in MLB, are part of the Tigers’ contingent that will play in the Arizona Fall League, which runs from Oct. 3 to Nov. 14. Rosters were released Tuesday, Sept. 15.

Hope and Rainer are two of seven Tigers prospects who will play for the Scottsdale Scorpions, a team that also includes prospects from the Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, and Tampa Bay Rays.
Hope, ranked No. 38 overall by Baseball America and the headlining prospect that came to Detroit from the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Tarik Skubal trade, hit .287 with 29 home runs, 87 RBIs, and 26 stolen bases between Double-A Tulsa and Double-A Erie, registering an .880 OPS. The 21-year-old hit .269 with six home runs and 24 RBIs after joining Erie.
Rainer, 21, is ranked No. 72 overall by Baseball America. He has split his season between low Single-A Lakeland and high Single-A West Michigan, hitting a combined .260 with 19 home runs and 72 RBIs. He has racked up 171 strikeouts between the two levels, and also had a run last month of five straight games with a home run with the Whitecaps. He was the Tigers’ first-round draft pick in 2024, selected No. 11 overall.

The five other prospects representing the Tigers are pitchers from West Michigan: Righthanders Logan Berrier, Jalen Evans, Preston Howey, and Maddox Long; and lefty Win Scott. Evans, 27, is a Detroit native who is a Warren Mott product.
Other notable prospects who will play in the Arizona Fall League include:
▶ Caleb Bonemer, an infielder/outfielder with the Chicago White Sox who starred at Okemos, and is ranked No. 28 overall, will play for the Glendale Desert Dogs. He was selected No. 43 overall in the 2024 MLB Draft.

▶ Ike Irish, an outfielder/first baseman with the Baltimore Orioles who starred at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, is ranked No. 99 prospect overall according to MLB Pipeline, and will play for the Peoria Javelinas. Irish was selected No. 19 overall in the 2025 MLB Draft.
▶ Dante Nori, an outfielder who helped lead Northville to a Division 1 state title in 2024 before he was drafted at No. 27 overall later that summer by the Philadelphia Phillies, will play for the Surprise Saguaros.
The Tigers have seen their prospect breakout in the Arizona Fall League, with Josue Briceño and Kevin McGonigle winning the last two Most Valuable Player awards. Briceño won the circuit’s first Triple Crown in 2024.
