LeBron James gave the NBA world a hilarious moment to remember on Monday after he ran courtside to a fan and took a sip of his wine.
Initial videos made it unclear whether James actually took a sip or pretended to, but ESPN’s Kris Rhim, who was in the arena, confirmed that LeBron had sipped from a glass of wine.
Rhim also revealed the fan’s identity, Troy Clemons. Rhim said Clemons is a longtime Sixers season-ticket holder who claimed he grew up with franchise legend Julius Erving’s son.
James sent fans into a frenzy after taking the sip.
“This is how I know it’s his last run 😆,” one fan said.

James scored 15 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and added nine assists, shooting 6-for-13 from the field. He had the second-best plus-minus of +30 on the team. James’ night ended early, with 2:03 left, after VJ Edgecombe hit a corner 3 from the right wing to give the Sixers a 122-102 lead. The Sixers won 126-107.
