After being listed as “doubtful” in the team’s first two SEC availability reports, Alabama football offensive lineman Michael Carroll’s status has been made official heading into the Crimson Tide‘s conference opener against Kentucky.
Carroll is one of eight players listed as out for Saturday’s game along with running back AK Dear, wide receiver Noah Rogers, defensive backs Jorden Edmonds, Nick Sherman and Zyan Gibson, linebacker Cayden Jones and defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman

Defensive back Jireh Edwards is “questionable.”
William Sanders, who cross-trained at right guard during the offseason, is a candidate to take Carroll’s reps on the line along with Mal Waldrep Jr. and Ole Miss transfer Ethan Fields.
Alabama kicks off against Kentucky at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12.
