They say: A three-in-one lip product from Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty brand that offers the colour of a lipstick, the shine of a gloss and the lip love of an oil. The range features ingredients such as apple seed oil to hydrate and nourish lips.

We say: This lip oil stick is super-comfortable on lips. Our testers found the colours were easy to build for a more full-colour effect. The lightweight formula is smoothing and moisturizing, leaving lips feeling soft and comfortable. Shout-out to the shade Dream, a very wearable neutral mauve.

Glow Recipe Banana Milk Kit

They say: A limited-edition product duo from Glow Recipe that sees the return of the brand’s fan-favourite Banana Soufflé Cream. In addition to the face cream, the kit includes a Banana Milk Glass Balm, which is the first Glass Balm formula with a shimmer finish. Ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, banana extract and magnesium hydrate and soothe skin.

We say: Without a doubt, you must love banana to enjoy this release (we do). The products both have a pleasant scent of the elongated yellow fruit. The lip balm gives lips a kiss of shine and a subtle shimmer. But it’s the Banana Soufflé Cream that’s the true star of this limited-time release. The hydrating cream is surprisingly lightweight for the punch of moisture that it packs.

Needless to say, we were excited to get our hands on these new Glassy Glow Sticks.

Available in two finishes — an ultra-pearlescent ‘glazed’ or a glitter-free ‘glossy’ — the products deliver a smooth, shiny finish to skin to achieve that coveted glass-skin finish. Applied to the high points of the face and even the lips, our testers noted the buttery balm melted onto skin. Where applied, skin looked moisturized and glowing. The shade 041 Glazed Rosy, a warm pink with golden flecks, is our quick-pick as it can work as a blush, shadow and lip gloss to produce a pretty pink flush of shimmer.
