Where’s the beef? Apparently, it’s at Temu.
The online retailer known for selling heavily discounted goods shipped from China is now offering a selection of meats—including ribeye steaks, pork chops, waygu burger patties and bacon—ready to be delivered to your door.
The products are shipped from a “local warehouse” by Grumpy Butcher, a U.S.-based premium frozen food company that also distributes to Amazon and Walmart, per its Temu listing.
In fact, the brand is Temu’s first seller of frozen foods.
“We had our first order the very next day after launching on Temu,” Grumpy Butcher founder Denys Gorbatiuk said in a 2025 profile with Temu. “Orders started flooding in and, funny enough, I found myself packing Temu boxes by hand with my warehouse team.”
Gorbatiuk said 12 percent of the company’s online sales came from Temu alone within just weeks of its June 2025 launch on the e-commerce website. The exposure also tapped into a new audience.
“Historically, more than 50 percent of our customers have been over 55,” Gorbatiuk said. “But on Temu, we’re suddenly reaching millennials and Gen Zers.”
He added, “We’re hiring just to keep up with Temu orders.”
Gorbatiuk also assures that the meat products are carefully packed to ensure freshness. As he explained an episode of the Future Commerce podcast last year, there were “many, many requirements by the government.”

“Everything gets delivered to your doorsteps one or two days later,” he said. “You cannot beat that.”
As of December, Gorbatiuk said 19 to 20 percent of his company’s sales were from Temu, with many “loyal customers” going back for seconds and thirds.
“I just recently saw that just the other day, there was a person who bought 25 purchases,” he shared. “Different items, 25 different purchases.”
