Watch: Prince William Reveals Why Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce’s 2024 Photo Almost Didn’t Happen
Taylor Swift is putting aside her bad blood with BradPaisley.
The Grammy winner had some fun reflecting ona faux estrangement between the two as the “Whiskey Lullaby” singer inducted her into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, calling back to her appearance on his 2007 tour.
“Brad Paisley, thank you so much for that induction,” Swift began from the stage at the Oct. 26 celebration, as seen in social media footage. “I’m really surprised to see you here actually because we’ve been estranged since 2007.”
“I think you know why,” the 36-year-old continued, explaining exactly what went down with Paisley. “He took a tour prank too far. Filled my entire tour bus with live crickets. Thousands of them.”
The “Fate of Ophelia” singer—who became the youngest inductee in Nashville’s Hall of Fame—learned all too well that she couldn’t just listen to the crickets sing, with the situation meeting her at midnight, and beyond, as she stayed up all night hearing, “Chirp, chirp. Chirp.”
“I considered buying a pet lizard to eradicate the problem,” Swift confessed as the audience let out a laugh. “It was a dark time.”
Thankfully, after 19 years she was ready to leave their feud in the lavender haze.
“You did such [an] amazing job with that introduction,” she said of Paisley’s speech, “I think we can let bygones be bygones. I think we’re good now.”

Of course, it would appear the two had decided what’s past is past long before her cheeky speech, as Paisley and his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisleywere guests at Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 3rd wedding.
“One of the least pretentious weddings I’ve ever seen, or ever will see,” Paisley told the Associated Press in July. “So, yeah, it meant a lot to be—it was kind of a big thank you from her to invite us.”
Swift also made good on her relationship with the “She’s Everything” singer in January when she donated to his and his wife’s Tennessee-based non-profit The Store, which helps those in need to obtain food and other necessities at no cost.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift for including The Store in her year-end giving,” the organization wrote on Facebook at the time. “Her generous gift helps us continue providing groceries with dignity and choice to families across Middle Tennessee especially as we prepare to open our second location. Thank you, Taylor, for using your voice and generosity to uplift neighbors in need.”
