Japan Railways Group marked a significant achievement with the successful full-speed test of its new maglev train on the extended Chuo Shinkansen line, reaching 603 km/h (375 mph). The line connecting Tokyo and Nagoya is set for partial public opening this year, promising to drastically reduce travel times between the cities.
