Australia captain and Seattle Storm center Ezi Magbegor has suffered a torn ACL in her right knee, ending her FIBA World Cup and her 2026 WNBA season.

Magbegor’s 2027 season also is in some doubt amid the devastating injury update, which came just before Australia squared off against Spain in the World Cup quarterfinals from Berlin, Germany.

Magbegor suffered the injury midway through the first quarter of Australia’s win over Italy on Wednesday.
The four-time All-Defense selection landed awkwardly as she drove to the rim, and she crumpled to the floor in obvious pain.
