The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has criticised Peter Obi over the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, appointment of retired Major General John Enenche as its Director of Security and Intelligence.
Sowore reacted to the appointment after the former military spokesman was named to the role in the NDC’s 2027 campaign council.
According to the report, Enenche had previously described videos of the October 2020 Lekki shooting as “photoshopped.”
In a post on X, Sowore alleged that Obi supervised the killing of IPOB activists and the dumping of their bodies in the Ezu River during his tenure as Anambra State governor.
He also accused some supporters of betraying the EndSARS movement, describing Enenche’s appointment as “a direct attack on the hypocrites who betrayed ENDSARS for a lot of porridge.”
Sowore further referred to Enenche as the “new hero” of those he accused of abandoning the movement.
