Houseplant partners with the famed Italian-American brand Carbone Fine Food

The Seth Rogen co-founded cannabis lifestyle brand Houseplant has teamed up with Carbone Fine Food to introduce the limited-edition Houseplant + Carbone Italian Marinara.

“Houseplant and Carbone Fine Food unite to bring you some of the best damn marinara sauce you’ll ever taste. Made with 100 per cent Italian tomatoes grown in the rich volcanic soil beneath Mount Vesuvius. Sounds a little ashy, but Mario assured us they are picked at their peak and slow-cooked to perfection. The colab between the Vancouver native and Hollywood A-lister and Mario Carbone, the chef-owner of New York’s iconic Carbone restaurant, was fittingly announced on 4/20.

The sauce is part of Houseplant’s new limited edition Italian Collection that includes a wide range of Italy-inspired pieces, such as a hand-painted serving platter for $243, a $548 bocce ball set, a Murano glass ashtray for $825 and the $109 Espresso Set by Seth, which is modelled after espresso sets Rogen, himself an avid potter, makes.

The sauce will be available at various stores in Los Angeles and New York City, and on Houseplant’s website for $34 per two-pack of 24-oz jars. Sadly, Canadians in search of some Seth stuff will have to move to the U.S. as Houseplant doesn’t ship to Canada or P.O. boxes.

Rogen launched Houseplant with his childhood buddy and creative partner Evan Goldberg in 2019. Since then, the company has released a wide range of home goods and THC-infused drinks.

Rogen, who was just recently spotted in his hometown dining at the Kits restaurant Little Bird Dim Sum + Craft Beer, wrapped shooting of Season 2 of the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning The Studio in late March. The Apple TV+ series is expected to premiere later this year.
