Watch: Selena Gomez Debuts Red Hair in Only Murders in the Building Behind-the-Scenes Look
Selena Gomez’s new hair color is magic.
The Wizards of Waverly Place alum unveiled newly-reddened locks in a social media post chronicling life in London as she, Steve Martin and Martin Short film the sixth season of Only Murders in the Building across the pond.
Tucked away at the end of the carousel are the snaps of Selena’s new look. Presumably a wig, wavy auburn hair frames the 33-year-old’s face as she stares up at the camera in one picture, while a clip of her lying in bed with the wig on shows the Disney alum admiring the change.
As Selena put it in the caption of the June 3 Instagram post, “Wild things happening with @onlymurdershulu while adoring london.”
Among the rest of the photos—which give a sneak peek at the shenanigans the actors have gotten up to in London—is one of Selena seemingly crouching on a theater stage in a lime green gown, as well as one of her, Steve and Martin posing on a bridge near the London Eye.
Steve, too, shared a look at his time filming in England, happily captioning a May 30 post, “Working with the great British actors in London is a joy!”
The actor in question? A tortoise. Only time will tell how the reptile plays into the Hulu show’s next season.

As for what brought the murder-solving trio to London in the first place, fans may remember the season five finale ended with Mabel (Selena), Oliver (Martin) and Charles (Steve) tuning into the true crime podcast of Cinda Canning (Tina Fey). In it, Cinda describes the story of a red-headed woman from the United Kingdom who was accused of killing a royal heir.
As it turns out, that woman was Cinda herself, the episode ending with the podcaster stumbling through city streets with bloodied hands before collapsing in front of a building gate, extending one hand through the bars, before she dies.

The wrought-iron gate in question was that of the Arconia, and her dying just inside the property officially loops Charles, Mabel and Oliver into the mystery and sends them to London to dig into Cinda’s history.
As for whether the trio of actors sees themselves solving mysteries beyond this upcoming sixth season, as long as people are being killed, they’re game.
In fact, Martin told E! News in September, “As long as we feel that the quality is what it is presently, I think we’ll always wanna do it.”
While Only Murders in the Building season six doesn’t have a release date yet, there is plenty of exciting TV to tune into in the meantime. Read on for more.
