    Watch: Tyra Banks’ Enormous Bangs Are Bigger Than Life-Size: She Reacts to Viral Hair Moment

    Just call her Tyra Bangs. 

    Indeed, Tyra Banks debuted a daring new hairstyle, showing off supersized bangs while serving as a judge on season 22 of Project Runway. And while the supermodel isn’t sure she was able to make the fantastic fringe work, she did manage to poke fun at how her hair transformation stole the show.

    “Brown never lets me down,” Banks wrote alongside a series of Instagram selfies shared July 16, referring to her brown ensemble worn in episode three of the Freeform series, before adding with a crying emoji, “But these bangs…”

    The America’s Next Top Model personality even nicknamed the unforgettable cut, “my buddy BANGY.” 

    And the 52-year-old wasn’t the only one to have fun with her arresting hairstyle. Project Runway fans chimed in online to share their reaction to the avant-garde moment. 

    One user joked on X, “Tyra is doing something with her bangs that has never been done before.”

    Another quipped in response to the Tweet, “That ain’t a bang that’s a BOOM.”

    Evoking other famous faces whose bangs have also made waves—like Justin Bieber, Edna Mode from The Incredibles and Rob Pinkston‘s Ned’s Declassified character, Coconut Head—is just one way Banks has made the most of her time in the judges’ chair next to Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and Law Roach.

    The talk show host has also bonded with celebrity guest judges, like Ciara, who hyped up one of Banks’ family members over the phone when the “Goodies” singer visited the workroom for an episode airing July 23.

    “Some people are even more beautiful in the moments not everyone gets to see,” Banks captioned a story time of the sweet moment shared to Instagram July 22. “@Ciara, your heart touched mine.”

    Aside from her ‘do causing a big bang this year, Banks recently resurged into the spotlight eight years after Top Model ended by speaking out in Netflix’s documentary about the competition show, Reality Checked: Inside America’s Next Top Model.
