Watch: Prince George Looks So Grown Up in Uniform for First Day at Eton College
Prince George is having a ball on his school break.
Less than two months after the 13-year-old son of Prince Williamand Kate Middleton began boarding school at Eton College, he reunited with his dad to watch Aston Villa FC face off against FC Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain, on Nov. 3.
Though William—also dad to kids Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8, with Kate—is a longtime supporter of Aston Villa, Barcelona sent a royally sweet message to the duo.
“FC Barcelona is honoured to welcome His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and His Royal Highness Prince George to the Spotify Camp Nou,” the Spanish soccer team wrote on X Nov. 3. “Thank you for joining us for a special evening of Champions League football featuring your beloved Aston Villa.”
And for their father-son field day, William, 44, and George teamed up for matching casual dark-colored outfits, bundling up against the cold. While William donned a black jacket and simple black cap, his son wore a black and white striped Aston Villa windbreaker.
Although the Birmingham team lost to Barcelona, William and George’s reunion was still pitch perfect. After all, the pair were locked in on the match, with the teen even sweetly leaning his head on his dad’s shoulder at one point.
The outing comes amid George’s break from school at Eton College, according to the institution’s website.
And as he spends some quality with his dad before he returns to school in a few days, George’s mom previously shared she was looking forward to seeing her eldest son during his time off.
While visiting a charity shop on Oct. 22, Kate expressed her excitement about seeing her kids on their half-term break, telling a young child, per Hello! magazine, “My children break up tomorrow and I can’t wait to have them all home.”

It’s been nearly two months since the Princess of Wales dropped off George at Eton College—William and Prince Harry’s alma mater—on Sept. 8.
At the time, George looked royally ready for his new chapter, matching his dad in a dark blue suit and tie.
As his parents prepared to send their son off, William and Kate, 44, shook hands with the headmaster, per videos shared online, with the school officially telling George, “Welcome, good luck and enjoy.”
