Georgia football won’t have one of its best running backs for Saturday’s game at Alabama.
Chauncey Bowens is listed as out on the SEC availability report on Wendesday night.
Bowens went to the locker room at halftime slowly with the help of a trainer in Georgia‘s win over Vanderbilt last Saturday, but returned to the game with an undisclosed injury.

Coach Kirby Smart after the game Bowens was “a little banged up,” but he returned to the game in the second half.
Bowens, a third-year player from Port St. Luice, Fla., leads Georgia with six rushing touchdowns and has a team-high 35 carries for 124 yards, which is fourth on the team.
He’s tied for second on the team with 10 catches for 132 yards and a touchdown.
Wide receiver Thomas Blackshear is also listed as out with what Smart called an “upper body injury,” sustained against Vanderbilt Blackshear has 5 catches for 48 yards.
Georgia will rely on Nate Frazier and Dwight Phillips as their top running backs with Bo Walker behind them.

Wide receiver Isiah Canion, the Georgia Tech transfer who has missed the last two games with an apparent leg injury, is listed as questionable.
This is the third season that the conference has had reporting policies for schools ahead of SEC games.
The SEC releases daily reports Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and another 90 minutes before kickoff on game day.
Georgia has six players listed on the first availability report of the week.
This list will be updated in the days leading to kickoff.
