Easily one of the most important, and beloved, members of the Seattle Seahawks is defensive tackle Leonard Williams. During Seattle’s sloppy 30-23 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, the 12th Man had to hold its collective breath late in the game as he went down near the Seahawks’ end zone.
Williams had his ankle looked at by trainers, but eventually he was able to walk off the field (gingerly) under his own power. Big Cat eventually went to the blue medical tent and was listed as QUESTIONABLE to return, although he did not.

After the game, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald gave a brief health update for his star defensive tackle. According to Macdonald, the ankle injury does not appear to be serious, but said “we’ll see” in regards to moving forward with it.
The Seahawks are going to need Big Cat back and healthy for their impending Week 5 clash with the NFC West-leading San Francisco 49ers, who remain undefeated at 4-0 this year. Naturally, we at Seahawks Wire will continue to monitor the health of Leonard Williams and report back with any and all developments.
Keeping Big Cat on the field is paramount for Seattle’s desires to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
