School employee allegedly stabbed delivery driver with a pen 6 times because he was late
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (TCN) — A 36-year-old man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in connection with an alleged attack on a delivery driver.
On Aug. 20, a delivery driver arrived late at American Way Middle School in Memphis, Tennessee, WKRC reports. When he got there, he and school employee Braxton Stewart allegedly got into an argument over the fact that he was late. The argument allegedly turned physical and Stewart allegedly stabbed the delivery driver, whose name has not been released, at least six times using a pen.
According to police reports obtained by WKRC, the victim sustained four puncture wounds to the back, one between his eyes, and one to his neck. He was treated for his injuries at a hospital.
Stewart was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault, according to WMC. Law & Crime reportsStewart’s next court date is scheduled for Aug. 28.
