The national convenience chain is offering savings for customers feeling pain at the pumps

The convenience chain Circle K is cutting the cost of gas by 10 cents a litre on Thursday at its 15 gas bars across B.C.

From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on May 21, the gas and grocery chain will discount its rate on fuel at more than 1,300 Circle K and Couche-Tard locations across the country.

It operates 51 Circle K stores in B.C., but only 15 of those have gas bars. They are:

The global chain is also offering a Canadian promotion called the Fuel For Summer Sweepstakes, with 200 customers from across the country winning $450 gift cards to use at Circle K or Couche-Tard locations.

That sweepstakes runs from May 26 to July 20, with winners chosen weekly. With each fuel purchase, customers can scan the QR code at the pump or in-store for a chance to win.

The fuel-day promotion is similar to what many Canadian gas station chains offer for customers using loyalty cards and others, but doesn’t require multiple purchases and the collection of points.
