Perhaps the most important question for fans of the Boston Celtics is whether Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens and the rest of the front office has actually included star forward Jaylen Brown in any trade offers they may or may not have had with the Milwaukee Bucks regarding star big man Giannis Antetokounmpo.
For much of the last week, the Georgia native has been a subtext in discussions about the Greek Freak’s future and potential interest in landing (and extending) with Boston. Reports have been heavily couched and not from the usual sources known to have a degree of access to what the team will do in situations like these – and often conflicting. But on a recent episode of ESPN’s “NBA Today,” senior reporter Ramona Shelburne threw some cold water on these Giannis rumbles.

“I think that what I have heard from teams around the league is more speculation,” said Shelburne.
“I think the Boston Celtics would tell you that they love Jaylen Brown,” she added. “He had an incredible season for them. He was in my top five in MVP voting. He carried them this year without Jayson Tatum. All this is is leverage though.”
“All this is is a moment of maximum leverage. But guess what? There’ll be another one. Wait, but there’ll be another one.”
