While the NHL world waits to see what happens with Dylan Larkin after his trade request to the Detroit Red Wings, the gold medal-winning center had a different sport on his mind.

Larkin attended Sunday’s World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina in New Jersey.
It prompted amusing posts like this one on social media, which shared Larkin’s Instagram story as the image:
MORE:How a 3-team Dylan Larkin, Jason Robertson trade could work
Larkin is believed to have four teams actually on his trade list at the moment, which is relevant since he has a no-trade clause.
The Red Wings don’t have a GM after the reassignment of Steve Yzerman into a senior advisor role, so it might be a while before a move is made anyway.
Larkin was originally considering the Florida Panthers, Vegas Golden Knights and Minnesota Wild.

More recently, it was reported that he added the Dallas Stars to his trade list, which is particularly intriguing because they may end up in a position where they have to trade Jason Robertson for salary cap reasons.
Clearly, Larkin isn’t letting his life come to a halt while he waits to see what happens next.
Instead, he got to watch Spain’s 1-0 extra time win over Argentina. There’s also a post going around of him in a group with 49ers tight end George Kittle in which a bunch of dudes have their shirts off at the game, so seems like everyone was having a good time.
Larkin will eventually turn his focus back to hockey, but the season is a few months away, and he doesn’t seem too bothered.
