All of the Red Wings’ offense came in the second inning in their 5-3 win over the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Wednesday night at Coca-Cola Park.
The Red Wings, who now have won 10 straight road games, did all of their scoring in a five-run second inning and then leaned on Chandler Champlain and the bullpen to finish it off.

Rochester’s big inning came in the top of the second against IronPigs starter Tucker Davidson. With two outs, Harry Ford worked a walk and Andrew Pinckney followed with a single to center to put two on. Tres Barrera then lined a two-run single to center, scoring Ford and Pinckney. Phillip Glasser grounded a single to right to bring home Barrera for a 3-0 lead, and Seaver King followed with a double to center that scored Glasser and moved Christian Franklin to third. Yohandy Morales capped the frame with a soft ground-ball single to second that plated Franklin and made it 5-0.
Lehigh Valley answered later but never erased the deficit. The IronPigs got on the board when Christian Cairo grounded into a force play with runners on, driving in their first run. In another inning, Caleb Ricketts doubled to right and Felix Reyes followed with a two-run homer to left, cutting Rochester’s lead to 5-3. Those were the only runs the IronPigs could muster.
Chandler Champlain worked into the middle innings to earn the win before turning it over to the Rochester bullpen. A series of relievers held Lehigh Valley scoreless the rest of the way, stranding the potential tying run and closing out the Red Wings’ latest road victory.

The win moved Rochester to 36-22 and strengthened its hold on the best record in the International League.
