The Boston Red Sox find a whole different kind of magic when they put on their green uniforms.

The special look, with the color patterned after the Green Monster, brings about walk-off wins in the most absurd way.
The latest came Friday night, when Masataka Yoshida pinch-hit and delivered a walk-off single over the Detroit Tigers — a 1-0 win in extra innings.

To be clear, that’s not the crazy part.
The crazy part is this: The Red Sox have won seven games while wearing the green uniforms since they were first introduced.
All seven of those green uniform wins were walk-offs.
The first obvious thing to point out is that the Red Sox only wear these uniforms at home — and you can’t have a walk-off win on the road, so that helps the cause a bit.

But still, it’s not like teams are just piling up walk-off wins left and right in every home game they play.
There’s some craziness going on with these green uniforms that is pretty much inexplicable.
The Red Sox won’t complain, though. They’re getting pretty used to the mob-scene celebrations in the green uniforms.
