    Watch: Reba McEntire Reveals Why There’s No Update on Rex Linn Wedding

    Reba McEntire might not be a single mom, but she is almost always working at least two jobs.

    In fact, it’s why she doesn’t have any updated to offer up regarding her nuptials to Rex Linn, to whom she became engaged in 2025. 

    “We’re just waiting until we have an open spot to have the wedding,” she exclusively told E! News on Aug. 10 at the NBC Backlot Pass event. “Get it planned. Print those invitations.”

    But as her Happy’s Place costar Belissa Escobedo pointed out, both Reba and Rex are “two of the busiest people,” adding, “Always on a new job. Making new music.”

    In fact, the pair actually costar on Happy’s Place together, with Rex playing love interest Emmett to Reba’s Bobbie.

    And for the “Consider Me Gone” singer, bringing their chemistry to the small screen felt “really natural.”

    “It’s easy, we have a blast together,” Reba continued. “We work together, and we rehearse together. We carpool together. So, we’re always together.”

    And while that much time together may have caused bumps in another couple’s road, Reba says their true happiness boils down to one factor: “We like each other.”

    “We love each other,” she continued, “but we like each other. We have fun.”

    Plus, it doesn’t hurt that she and the CSI: Miami actor have a lot in common.

    “We love the same things,” she explained. “We love the country way of life, the western way of life. We love movies. We love television.”

    She continued, “The only thing we’re opposite of, he loves thriller horror movies. I’m more like, ‘Happy. Everything’s so sweet.’”

    As for their future white veil occasion, this isn’t the first time work has gotten in the way of her and Rex’s official happy ever after.

    Back in February, Reba explained why her and Rex’s busy schedules put a wrench in their plans. 

    “We’re still waiting on a third season pickup from Happy’s Place,” she told E! News in February. “And Rex got picked up on Stick with Owen Wilson, so that pushed the wedding back.” 

    Season three of Happy’s Place will premiere Oct. 23.
