The Baltimore Ravens have officially completed a major NFL trade, acquiring veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals as they look to address a growing crisis at the position.
The full compensation involved in the deal was announced Friday, confirming that Baltimore is bringing in an experienced option following devastating injuries to its quarterback room.
According to reports, the Ravens will receive Brissett and a 2027 fifth-round draft pick from Arizona. In exchange, the Cardinals will receive a 2027 fourth-round selection and a 2028 seventh-round pick.

Baltimore’s decision to pursue Brissett comes after both Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley suffered what appear to be season-ending injuries during the team’s Week 8 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
Third-string quarterback Joe Fagano was forced into action against Buffalo before getting the start in Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football.
Unfortunately for Baltimore, Fagano struggled significantly in his first start. He finished with just 60 passing yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions as the Ravens suffered a disappointing 33-10 defeat.

With the team’s quarterback situation becoming increasingly concerning, bringing in a veteran with extensive NFL experience became an important priority.

Brissett, 33, started Arizona’s first eight games of the 2026 season before being benched in favor of Gardner Minshew last Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.
Despite losing his starting job, Brissett brings plenty of experience to Baltimore. Through eight appearances this season, he has thrown for 1,719 yards and 10 touchdowns, while recording seven interceptions and taking 19 sacks.

The veteran is currently in his 11th NFL season after being selected by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Brissett is expected to take over as Baltimore’s starting quarterback in Week 10 when the Ravens face the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football.
With their postseason hopes potentially hanging in the balance, the Ravens will be counting on their newest addition to provide stability and help keep their season alive.
