The Baltimore Ravens will look to rebound from consecutive losses as they travel to Buffalo for a Week 8 matchup against the Bills, and their latest depth chart raises several key personnel questions ahead of Sunday’s AFC showdown.

Baltimore (4-3) is coming off a 35-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals after allowing 35 unanswered points in the second half. The Ravens have dropped consecutive AFC North matchups and now face another difficult opponent as they attempt to regain momentum in the conference standings. The Ravens’ biggest questions remain on offense, where injuries to quarterback Lamar Jackson and offensive linemen Ronnie Stanley and Vega Ioane have complicated the team’s efforts to establish consistency.

Jackson obviously remains listed as Baltimore’s starting quarterback, with Tyler Huntley second and Joe Fagnano third. The offensive line features Ronnie Stanley at left tackle, John Simpson at left guard, Vega Ioane at center, Andrew Vorhees at right guard, and Roger Rosengarten at right tackle.

After Ioane suffered an MCL sprain in the loss to Cincinnati, Andrew Vorhees or Emery Jones will start. Although he remains listed at center, his availability could influence multiple positions along Baltimore’s offensive front.

Defensively, Trey Hendrickson remains the team’s top rush linebacker, with Mike Green listed behind him. The secondary features Marlon Humphrey, Nate Wiggins, Kyle Hamilton, Jaylinn Hawkins (injured), and Malaki Starks, giving defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver several versatile options against Buffalo’s passing attack.

Here is Baltimore’s Week 8 depth chart, followed by seven takeaways from the latest personnel listings.

One of the most important developments for Baltimore’s offense is Jurgens’ presence atop the center depth chart after the Ravens acquired him in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. Jurgens made his Baltimore debut against Cincinnati after spending time in the concussion protocol, giving the Ravens a veteran option at a position that had changed significantly in the first half of the season.

Baltimore previously relied on Ioane at center after injuries depleted its depth at the position. The rookie performed well despite moving away from his natural right guard spot, providing stability while the team waited for Jurgens to become available.

With Jurgens now starting at center, the Ravens have a chance to build continuity on an offensive line that has struggled with injuries. His experience will be key to communication, identifying defensive pressure, and opening running lanes for Henry.

The bigger question is whether Baltimore can keep the same five offensive linemen together long enough to establish the consistency necessary for a productive second half of the season.

Ioane remains listed as Baltimore’s starting right guard, with Emery Jones Jr. second and Kyle Hergel third. However, the Ravens may need to use another combination after the rookie suffered an MCL sprain during Sunday’s loss to Cincinnati. Ioane is expected to miss time after sustaining the injury in the first quarter. Jones replaced him against the Bengals, making him an important player to monitor as Baltimore prepares for Buffalo. The injury is particularly frustrating because Baltimore finally had an opportunity to pair Jurgens at center with Ioane at his natural right guard position. The combination lasted less than a quarter before the Ravens were forced to adjust.

Ioane, the No. 14 overall selection in the 2026 NFL draft, had already demonstrated his versatility by filling in at center. His return to right guard was expected to balance Baltimore’s offensive front, but the injury creates another potential obstacle.

Jones is the next player listed at right guard, while Hergel provides additional interior depth. The Ravens will need to determine whether Jones can provide sufficient consistency if Ioane is unavailable against Buffalo.

Stanley remains Baltimore’s starting left tackle, with Vinson serving as his backup. Roger Rosengarten is listed as the starting right tackle, with Vinson also appearing as his primary reserve. The alignment highlights Vinson’s importance as Baltimore’s swing tackle, particularly after Stanley exited Sunday’s loss to Cincinnati.

Stanley has been one of the Ravens’ most important offensive linemen throughout his career, and his health will be critical against a Buffalo defense capable of generating pressure.

Vinson was called upon against the Bengals, gaining another opportunity to handle meaningful snaps on the left side. His development gives Baltimore flexibility, but the Ravens need more stability on the offensive line after frequent changes over seven games.

With Jackson dealing with an ankle injury and Huntley handling starting duties in his absence, dependable tackle play will be essential regardless of who starts at quarterback.

Jackson remains listed as Baltimore’s starting quarterback, with Huntley second and Fagnano third. However, his ankle injury remains one of the team’s biggest concerns heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Bills.

Jackson has missed three straight games while recovering, leaving Huntley to lead an offense that has been inconsistent over the past two weeks.

Baltimore managed just 10 points against Cleveland and 13 against Cincinnati, struggling to sustain drives and generate explosive plays when opportunities arose.

Huntley has provided experience and familiarity with the offense, but the Ravens have not consistently capitalized on their offensive talent during Jackson’s absence.

Jackson’s return would give offensive coordinator Declan Doyle another dimension to his attack, especially with the quarterback’s ability to threaten defenses as both a passer and runner.

For now, the depth chart confirms Jackson’s standing within the quarterback room rather than his availability against Buffalo. His practice participation and injury designation will determine whether the Ravens can get their starter back on the field.

One of the more interesting developments on Baltimore’s defensive depth chart is Green’s placement as the starting strongside linebacker, ahead of Zion Young and Ethan Burke.

Green is also listed as Hendrickson’s primary backup at rush linebacker, giving defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver another option when building different defensive packages. The alignment is notable because Tavius Robinson suffered a season-ending pectoral injury, creating additional opportunities for Baltimore’s younger outside linebackers.

Green’s ability to line up in different spots lets the Ravens maintain flexibility with their pass-rushing personnel, especially when Hendrickson is on the field.

Baltimore will need improved defensive execution after allowing Cincinnati to score touchdowns on five consecutive second-half possessions. Green’s development could become increasingly important as the Ravens try to generate consistent pressure and finish defensive series.

Flowers remains Baltimore’s top receiver, with Devontez Walker and Elijah Sarratt listed behind him. Bateman occupies the other starting receiver spot, followed by Ja’Kobi Lane and Wester.

The receiving group will be under scrutiny entering Week 8 after Baltimore’s offense struggled to score in consecutive losses.

Flowers was one of the few bright spots against Cincinnati, finishing with eight receptions for 137 yards and a touchdown. He provided Baltimore with its most explosive plays, but the Ravens couldn’t sustain that production after halftime.

Bateman remains important as Baltimore works to develop more consistent outside production, while Walker and Lane provide additional options in the passing game.

Lane’s return after wrist surgery gives the Ravens another young receiver who can contribute, and the rookie’s opportunities could expand as he gets more comfortable in Doyle’s offense.

Baltimore needs more consistent contributions from the entire group rather than relying primarily on Flowers to create explosive plays.

Hamilton remains listed at defensive back, with Keyon Martin and Chandler Rivers behind him. Hawkins starts at strong safety, while second-year safety Starks is listed at free safety.

Marlon Humphrey and Nate Wiggins remain Baltimore’s starting outside cornerbacks, with Chidobe Awuzie as the primary backup behind them.

Hamilton’s versatility remains one of Baltimore’s most important defensive assets. His ability to line up near the line of scrimmage, cover tight ends and receivers, and handle deeper coverage responsibilities gives Weaver flexibility in building different defensive packages.

The Ravens will need that versatility against Buffalo, particularly after struggling to contain Cincinnati’s passing attack during the second half of Sunday’s loss.

Hawkins’ health also warrants attention after a knee injury kept him out against the Bengals. Keondre Jackson appears as the second option at both safety spots, while K’Von Wallace provides additional depth.

Baltimore must improve its communication and execution in the secondary after allowing Cincinnati to turn a 13-point halftime deficit into a comfortable victory.

Baltimore’s special teams depth chart remains anchored by Loop at kicker, Eckley at punter and holder, and Nick Moore at long snapper.

Loop’s performance will remain a storyline after missed field goals contributed to Baltimore’s recent struggles. The Ravens signed veteran Jake Moody to their practice squad, but Loop remains the kicker listed on the team’s official depth chart.

Adding Moody provides depth and competition without changing Baltimore’s primary kicking responsibilities. Wester remains the top kickoff and punt returner, with Ali and Hill as additional kickoff-return options. Sarratt is listed as Wester’s backup on punt returns. The Ravens have struggled to consistently capitalize on scoring opportunities during their two-game losing streak, making special teams execution particularly important against Buffalo.

Field position, reliable kicking, and limiting mistakes in the return game could make the difference in a matchup between two AFC teams trying to improve their postseason positioning.
