At long last the Atlanta Falcons have finally made their first pick in 2026 NFL Draft. They decided to make it a family affair, drafting the younger brother of star cornerback A.J. Terrell, Avieon Terrell out of Clemson.
Cornerback depth was one of Atlanta’s needs coming into the draft, although it is a little surprising they hit it this early rather than more-pressing positions like nose tackle and wide receiver.

Terrell (5-foot-11, 180 pounds) has solid ball skills, with three career interceptions to go with 25 pass breakups. He also posted eight forced fumbles, four sacks and nine tackles for a loss in 39 career college games, all with the Tigers.
Terrell isn’t exactly a high-level athlete, though. According to his RAS Score, he only comes in with a below-average 4.94, with poor grades for size and speed.
