Watch: Keep Up With All the Kardashian-Jenner Family’s Jaw-Dropping Met Gala Looks
Everyone is trying to keep up with the Kardashian-Jenners at the Met Gala.
Ever since Kim Kardashianmade her Met debut in 2013—wearing her still-talked-about floral Givenchy gown while pregnant with her and Kanye West‘s daughter NorthWest—she and her sisters have continued to stun at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual event.
And while Kim has been a mainstay at the Costume Institute benefit every year since her debut, her family has also joined in on the festivities, with Kendall Jenner first attending in 2014, mom Kris Jenner in 2015 and youngest sister Kylie Jennerin 2016.
But 2022 marked an important year for the Kardashiansstars, as it was the first time Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashianfinally made an appearance, with Kourtney ascending the steps of the Met alongside husband Travis Barker.
For Khloe, she admitted her “anxiety was through the roof” at the prestigious party, tweeting at the time, “Am I supposed to admit that I almost had a heart attack on that carpet tonight?”
Indeed, being part of fashion’s biggest night has meant that the sisters have had to make some sacrifices in the name of style.
For her 2024 “Garden of Time”-themed Maison Margiela silver corset gown, Kimrevealed on an episode of The Kardashiansthat while she was “not as uncomfortable as I might look,” the gown was “definitely a performance piece.”
And mom Kris certainly had thoughts about her daughter’s sartorial choices, asking Kim, “Are you ever gonna wear a dress to the Met where you can actually walk?”

But Kim would not be deterred from her favorite fashions, saying, “That’s just who I am. If you look good, it’s all worth it.”
Certainly Kim isn’t alone in the family when it comes to pulling out all the stops for the Met Gala. After sister Kylie attended her first one, wearing a silver Balmain gownfor the “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” theme, she knew going big would be her plan for all of her Met appearances.
“I love the way people go all-out for the Met Ball,” she told Vogue at the time. “I love when people take risks.”
