Watch: Post Malone Cancels First 3 Weeks of His Tour Due to Unfinished Music
Post Malone isn’t leaving fans in the dust, but they may have to wait a little longer to see him in concert.
The “Sunflower” singer announced he’s postponed the start of his Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2, canceling the first few weeks of concerts in order to complete his upcoming album The Eternal Buzz.
“Looking at the upcoming schedule after stagecoach,” Post, 30, wrote on his Instagram Stories May 1. “I came to the realization that what we were trying to do, and what’s possible isn’t really lining up.”
“Truth is, I promised y’all beautiful people new music, and I don’t have the time to finish it before tour starts,” he added. “We ain’t ready for tour just yet, so I’m making the decision to push the tour back about 3 weeks to get this music done.”
As for what this specifically means for fans who bought tickets, theBig Ass Stadium Tour Part 2 will now officially kick off on June 9 in Charlotte, N.C., over three weeks after it was initially set to begin on May 13 in El Paso, Texas. Overall, six U.S. tour dates have been canceled, including stops in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and Florida.
And while the artist shared an updated list of the Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2 dates—along with festival appearances—he did not reveal whether or not there would be any replacement dates for the canceled shows.
“I’m so sorry to the folks who were planning on coming to the few canceled shows,” Post (born Austin Richard Post) continued of the tour, which will feature a handful of appearances from Jelly Roll. “I was looking forward to going nuts with y’all.”
Indeed, the Grammy nominee expressed that he’s excited to take the stage once the tour commences. And according to Post, the wait will be worth it.
“We’ve been making some badass s–t for this double album,” he teased of his upcoming seventh studio album, which he revealed on Instagram will have 40 tracks, “and I can’t wait to perform for y’all again.”

And for those who were concerned the “Circles” singer had fully left his roots behind, think again.
“To alot of little stinkers that think I’ve forgotten about ole Stoney,” he said, seemingly referring to his 2016 debut album Stoney, “I haven’t…”
Post ended his message on a positive note, reiterating his excitement about returning to the stage, writing, “I love you, and can’t wait to see you crazy motherf–kers soon.”
