    Watch: Pierce Brosnan Breaks Silence on Rumored Feud With MobLand Costar Tom Hardy

    Pierce Brosnan is ready to shake up these feud rumors—not stir them. 

    The MobLand star set the record straight on where he stands with costar Tom Hardy after reports surfaced earlier this year about behind-the-scenes drama between the two on set.   

    “Oh my God, it was a storm in a teacup, really,” Brosnan told Press Association in an interview published Sept. 10. “I love the dude. I love Tom Hardy. I’m a massive fan of the man’s work. Truly.”

    The 73-year-old added that he, Hardy and their costar Helen Mirren “are rock solid as a company, as a family.”

    “Everyone shows up for work, and everybody’s just there on the spot,” Brosnan said. “It moves very fast so it’s not like we go out and socialise and go to the pub or anything like that. Everyone goes home to their families and before you know it, you’ve done 10 episodes.”

    And Hardy—who is set to join his costars for season three of the series that follows warring crime families—echoed his costar, telling PA that Brosnan and Mirren are “awesome.”

    “In many aspects of course I look up to them. Coming up, these are actors that came before me,” the 48-year-old shared. “So to be able to work with them is a privilege, but also to be able to enjoy them, watching them spread their wings with their range now as well, and play against their type in some aspects, and really enjoy that is a beautiful thing to watch as a human being.”

    He emphasized, “These guys are really talented and they’re having a lot of fun.”

    That beauty and fun was also present for Mirren, who noted that while she wasn’t able to share many scenes with Hardy in season two, she and Brosnan have an “amazing” relationship. 

    “Obviously, Pierce and I have an extraordinary chemistry on-screen and off-screen,” she admitted of her Thursday Murder Club costar. “We’re very, very fond of each other. We respect each other enormously.”

    And when it came to working with Hardy on future seasons of MobLand, she told Variety in June, “Absolutely. In a f–king heartbeat.”
