The Pelicans added a two-way weapon in Mathurin. He has steadily improved since arriving in the NBA as the No. 6 pick in 2022, although his shooting could use more work.
He will play a key role, likely as the sixth man, for New Orleans. The 24-year-old wingman said he cannot wait to begin his new chapter.

“It’s great to be where a team really wants me. You know what I’m saying? It goes both ways. We have great teammates, we have a great coaching staff, a great front office, a great owner, and great people to do media with,” said Mathurin in a video posted by Fox 8 New Orleans’ Madeline Adams.
