    Watch: Chad Michael Murray, Sarah Roemer’s Hilarious Date Night Video Is Going Viral

    Chad Michael Murray and Sarah Roemer know how to turn up the heat, even near the ice. 

    Case in point: The couple put their romance on full display during Game 2 of the Stanley Cup April 21, where they got mic’ed up to cheer on Buffalo Sabres against the Boston Bruins. 

    And while the Sabres lost to the Bruins 2-4, the couple still had a great time while taking in the action from right behind the glass. As Sarah joked to Chad at one point in the game when he suggested their clothes might have something to do with the team’s juju, “You might have to try going shirtless in the end.”

    To which Chad—a Buffalo native—quipped, “I’m gonna yank it off, get everyone jacked up in here.”

    Another clip saw the couple commiserating with a fellow fan whose beverage got knocked down by the players hitting up against the glass.

    “There it is,” Sarah joked, with Chad adding, “There’s the lesson. Dude, we wanted to test the theory.”

    Placing his cup on the ledge directly behind the glass, he continued, “Of like, is this a rookie mistake.”

    As the pair’s Sabres hope for a win continued to diminish, Sarah could also be heard telling her husband, “We need some angels in this rink for the best comeback ever.”

    Allowing themselves to be mic’ed up is perhaps the most open the couple—who share three kids—have ever been with their romance, as Chad has always expressed his family life is extremely sacred to him. 

    “I’m a romantic,” the Freaky Friday star told E! News in 2015. “I’m a family guy. I want that core. I tend to keep everything quiet. I love my life. That’s the part that I keep for myself.”

    Of course, Chad—who previously had a brief marriage in 2005 to One Tree Hill costar Sophia Bush—has shared glimpses here and there of how lucky he feels to have met Sarah on the set of Chosen in the early 2010s. 

    “It’s been the best decade of my life by far—sharing each and every moment with you,” Chad mused to his wife in a 2024 anniversary post. “We’ve grown this little pack together and seen so much of the world as a family. I’m so grateful for you Sarah. Every day is a better and much brighter day with you in it.”
