New England Patriots second-year offensive lineman Jared Wilson had high praise for veteran Alijah Vera-Tucker.
Wilson started at left guard for the Patriots throughout the 2025 season, despite being drafted at center. He is set to move back to center in 2026 with Vera-Tucker, the former New York Jets‘ first-round draft pick, taking over at left guard.

Vera-Tucker signed with the Patriots to a three-year, $42 million contract in free agency. At only 26 years old, the Patriots are hopeful that he can solidify the future at left guard. Wilson is clearly on board with the vision after seeing Vera-Tucker on the practice field.
“Athletic freak. His feet are crazy,” Wilson said on Vera-Tucker.
