There was a belief among several folks inside the NFL this summer that the Packers could be a Super Bowl team to watch.
Much of that optimism was around quarterback Jordan Love making another substantial leap in head coach Matt LaFleur’s offense, and a rising supporting cast making major strides around him.

However, after two wildly inconsistent performances against the Minnesota Vikings, in a loss, and a way closer than it needed to be comeback overtime win over the New York Jets, Love isn’t exactly inspiring confidence right now.
Over at Pro Football Focus, top NFL analyst Gordon McGuinness lists Love, currently, as the No. 6 ranked quarterback in the NFL with some biting analysis that should spark some worry in Green Bay.
“Love’s 52.1 PFF grade through the first two weeks of the season ranks just 31st,” McGuinness writes. “Among the 33 quarterbacks with enough dropbacks to qualify. His 17.3% negatively graded play rate is the worst at the position, while his -16.8% Accuracy Over Expectation also ranks in the bottom three.”

Through two weeks, Love is completing just 52.1 percent of his passes for 532 yards with four touchdowns and one back-breaking interception.
The Packers need Love to be better and more consistent, and Love needs more consistently competent play from Green Bay’s offensive line, if this team is going to meaningfully compete this season.
