One dead in single-vehicle crash in Langley Township

A driver is dead after a single-vehicle collision overnight in Langley.

First responders were called to the 20200-block of 48th Avenue minutes before 2 a.m.

Emergency crews from the Township of Langley Fire Department, B.C. Ambulance Service and Langley RCMP responded but, despite their collective efforts, one person was pronounced dead.

“The circumstances surrounding the collision are still being examined, and investigators are working to determine the factors involved,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of Langley RCMP in a statement.

Sharoom confirmed no one else was in the vehicle.

Crash analysts were examining the scene early Sunday.

Anyone who was in the area and saw the crash or has dashcam footage is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
