The Oklahoma Sooners picked up their 25th commitment in the 2027 recruiting class. It’s the third in the last two days as three-star cornerback Trenton Blaylock pledged to the Sooners on Monday.
Blaylock, the younger brother of OU running back Tory Blaylock, chose Oklahoma over Texas and Vanderbilt, schools he took official visits with before his OV with the Sooners this past weekend.

He holds 28 Power Four offers, 12 from SEC schools. Blaylock is considered the No. 50 cornerback in the class, according to Rivals, and the No. 45 cornerback per ESPN.
He’s got great size at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds and is an elite athlete. Blaylock is sticky in coverage and is a strong man-to-man corner. He does a good job of carrying wide receivers up the field with a trail technique and getting his eyes back to the quarterback. Blaylock has really good ball skills and is a physical player in coverage.
In the run and screen game, Blaylock is a force on the outside, showing excellent play recognition, and does a great job destroying blocks to make an impact on the play.
This is a great pickup for the Oklahoma Sooners, giving Brent Venables a cornerback with the physicality to play safety or even cheetah.
