Oklahoma dipped out of the top spot of the Softball America top 25 for just one week, but is back at No. 1 after its three-game sweep of the Georgia Bulldogs.
After a 4-0 week, the Sooners jumped Nebraska, which also went 4-0 last week. Nebraska swept Iowa but hasn’t played a ranked team since its series win over UCLA at the end of March. The Sooners, however, have played 13 games against ranked opponents in the same time frame, going 9-4 with series wins over LSU, Texas, Arkansas, and Georgia.

After Oklahoma and Nebraska, Alabama takes the No. 3 spot followed by Texas Tech and UCLA to round out the top five. Texas moved up two spots to No. 6 in the nation, while Arkansas dropped one spot to No. 7. Florida State, Florida, and Duke make up the remainder of the top 10.
Oklahoma’s next opponent, the Texas A&M Aggies, dropped five spots to No. 14 in the nation. Oklahoma will go to College Station with a chance to clinch the SEC championship and the top spot in the SEC tournament.
