UD Las Palmas have confirmed the appointment of Albert Sánchez as their new manager. He joins from Ligue 2 club USL Dunkerque.
Sánchez took over from compatriot Luís Castro in the summer of 2025 when the former took the reigns at FC Nantes. It was ultimately an ill-fated spell for Castro, but Sánchez enjoyed a good season in Ligue 2. The Normand side did, however, miss out on a place in the promotion playoffs. It has, however, been a middling start to the current campaign. With three wins, three draws, and four losses, Dunkerque are 10th.

The club are now in the market for a new manager. It was announced on Wednesday that a deal had been reached that would see Sánchez join Las Palmas. The Spanish side have confirmed the arrival of their new head coach.
The La Liga 2 side have had a poor start to the season, losing five of their first 11 games in the league. They currently sit 14th.
