Katsina United technical adviser, Azeez Audu Mohammed can’t hide his excitement following his team’s victory over Sporting Lagos.
The Chanji Boys recorded a 2-1 victory over Jeffrey Buter’s side in a matchday 11 encounter at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Sunday.
The hosts dominated the opening exchanges with Luis Dadong scoring twice in the first half.
Sporting Lagos pulled one back through Aliyu Baba in the 65th minute.
Mohammed commended his players for putting up a good fight in the game.
“It’s not about clean sheet, the important thing is that we won against a quality side. In 11 matches they picked 10 points away,” Mohammed said in his post-match assessment.
“So, it’s not a small feat for us to be able to beat them. I think my boys did well, aside from conceding. We will continue working hard until we get it right.”
