Kun Khalifat FC goalkeeper, Chijioke Ejiogu, has explained the importance of the club’s supporters rallying behind the team in their last league fixture against Wikki Tourists.
Ejiogu believed that the supporters can make it uncomfortable for opponents to play with their presence.
The veteran shot stopper urged the fans to troop out en-mass to cheer the team to victory.
Kun Khalifat FC will do battle with Wikki Tourists at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on Sunday.
“We call our supporters the 12th man because they have a huge impact on us,” Ejiogu told the club’s media.
“When they sing they make it very uncomfortable for oppositions to play against us.
“We appreciate their love and gesture. It is very important for us to give them a good game.”
Kun Khalifat FC must record a win to maintain their top-flight status.
